Cars have been an important part of my life - whether it be driving them,watching them on track or rally stages,or seeing them on Top Gear.
Here's a collection of my favourites...
Rallying
I grew up in Llandudno, North Wales, where once a year I was fortunate enough to be able to see the world's best rally cars literally out of my bedroom window after they finished the Great Orme stage. It gave rise to my love of cars and love of rallying.
Since then I've travelled around watching rallying and a few years back was fortunate enough to be invited on a press trip to Oulton Park in Cheshire where I had passenger rides in a handful of Group B cars including the 6R4 and Delta below. Magic.
Supercars
If I won the lotto here's my shopping list...
TVR
My old man used to keep TVRs (none of the below!) and I remember the feeling of climbing into them and being a few inches off the ground.
I also remember that they were in the garage more than they were on the road but for me that's an integral part of the character of this great British marque.
Dodge Viper
I can't really explain this one, just that for the last 10 years I've wanted a Viper.
AC Cobra
The look, feel and sound from the AC Cobra is unique. There's one film that for me sums up the magic of this car - Twin Town: [In a strong South Wales valleys accent] "An AC f****** Cobra".
